Almost there!

Yesterday was officially 1 week till my due date.  With that came another doctor’s appointment.  I feel so blessed that my pregnancy has been fairly uneventful.  Every check up is the same you are good and baby is doing great, see you next time.  Yesterday however was a little different.  My blood pressure was very high for me.  This had happened at one other appointment, but that was a busy day and the appointment was in the afternoon, so it did not scare me quite as much, this was an 8:00 am appointment.   My doctor tells me that my body is finally rebelling against my hard working over booked self and it was time to start taken care of myself.

So with that came me stopping work a week early.   At first I felt like I had let everyone down, but after a few tears I soon realized that I had tried my best to work up till due date and that is all a could have done.  This is the best for me and now that I am home I am appreciative for the time I get to myself to finish preparing for my little one.  God works in amazing ways and He is looking out for me!

Can I just say, that I love my doctor and everyone in the office from the nurses to the receptionist.  Everyone is very support and I always feel like they have my best interest in mind.  They give me the information and I get to make a decision.  I really trust them and I am glad they are the ones I have chosen to guide me during this process.

At this point more waiting… hopefully I will have a photo of Kennadie to share soon!

A new chapter

I thought I would revitalize the blog that I have not used in years and dedicate it to our expanding family.  My husband, Travis and I are about to have our first child.  Kennadie Paige Franklin is due to be born May 26.  This is the story of our journey into parenthood.  Here are the first pictures of our little girl.
